Asthma called progressive chronic inflammatory disease of the upper airways, which is characterized by hyperactivity of bronchial tubes and reversible airflow obstruction.
The inflammatory process is manifested in morphological changes in the walls of the bronchial tubes - the destruction of the epithelial cells, dysfunction of cilia of ciliated epithelium, disorganization of the basic substance, the infiltration of cellular elements.
The maintenance and development of the inflammatory process are actively involved numerous cellular elements.
Gradually formed bronchoobstructive syndrome, which is characterized by edema of the mucous membrane of the bronchial tree, spasm of smooth muscles, hypersecretion of mucus and discernia, sclerotic changes in the walls of the bronchi. Note that inflammation is an obligatory component of allergic lung disease. With the development of bronchial asthma, an important role is played by environmental factors and internal factors. The exact nature of the internal factors, unfortunately, has not yet been fully established. Of great importance is the hereditary predisposition, which is expressed in the deterministic capacity for significant production of immunoglobulins.
Aggravation of asthma - factors:
- - Infectious sore throat;
- - Non-communicable allergens (drugs, pollen, dust, industrial);
- - Meteorological and physical agents (changing humidity and temperature, magnetic field fluctuations in barometric pressure);
- - Chemical and mechanical irritants (silicate, metal, wood dust, a pair of alkalis and acids);
- - Neuro-psychiatric effects.
The basis of bronchial asthma is bronchial hyperactivity, which is a consequence of an inflammatory process.
Overactive bronchial tubes called property airways react to various allergic and non-specific (pungent smell, wet and cold air, laughing, physical activity) incentives.
Note that the inflammatory process in the bronchi actively contributes to a significant increase in the sensitivity of the bronchial tree to various stimuli with the emergence of a chronic condition of the bronchi hyperactivity disorder with progressive signs of bronchial obstruction.
Bronhospastichim response to antigens can occur in two phases: the early reaction appears after a few minutes after the antigenic stimulation appears in the form of bronchospasm.
Late reaction caused by bronchial hyperreactivity, which causes the migration of inflammatory cells into the wall of bronchial edema bronchial mucosa.
Note that in most patients the disease and changes in sensitivity bronchial reactivity is carried out after an allergic reaction.
RџSЂRё exacerbation of asthma mainly develop allergic reactions of the first, third and fourth types.
In bronchial asthma, there are significant changes of local immunity (decrease in the concentration of immunoglobulin secretion of the bronchi).
The most common hormonal disorder that leads to bronchial obstruction is hyperthyroidism, glucocorticoid insufficiency.
The majority of patients with asthma is changing autonomic and central nervous system.
